People of Church of the Cross,

We continue to monitor the pandemic situation through the BC and Canadian Health Authorities and our National Church. In keeping with current recommendations, we will hold Holy Communion worship tomorrow, March 15 at 10 AM. We will follow the guidelines for hygiene as outlined in previous communications, with the addition of not passing the offering plates, but having them set out at the entrance for gathering offering before or after worship. We invite you to practice physical distancing (spacing out in the worship space).

As directed before, if anyone is experiencing symptoms, please stay home and contact the church office if there is any support you need. If you are feeling too anxious to attend worship, you are also welcome to stay home.

We continue to gather as God’s people to hear and share in God’s saving Word of hope and new life in Christ Jesus. And in these anxious times, we are called to reach out in love and care for others and hold one another and the world in prayer.

We continue exploring options for people to participate via audio or video who cannot attend worship in person. Stay tuned as we work out details.

We will be in touch with people renting church spaces this week concerning best practices using church space going forward, including those who wish to pause their rental. Some renters have already been in touch.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at the Church office. We will continue to check telephone messages and send email messages if circumstances change.

God’s grace and peace,
