Orange Shirt Sunday

The Sunday before National Day for Truth & Reconciliation is lifted up as Orange Shirt Sunday. On this day we reflect upon our complicity in systemic racism as a settler-dominant community, especially against Indigenous children. We confess the sinfulness of a history of genocide in the wake of residential schools, which governments and churches supported. Together we long to forge a better path that respects Indigenous children and their communities.
