Physical Accessibility

Church of the Cross offers a fully accessible building with service from Victoria's handyDART accessible bus, sidewalk grade front entrance, auto-opening front door, elevator accessing all levels including rear entrances, and accessible bathrooms. Sanctuary, bathrooms, and fellowship hall are all on the same ground floor level.

Our Sunday worship livestream with closed captioning is available wherever you have an internet connection. We also minister to residents of Luther Court, an assisted living home next door that offers a spectrum of care, so that our neighbours can participate, including receiving holy communion when health protocols allow.

Hardcopies of sermons are available for the hard of hearing to follow along during worship. Ask an usher for a copy.

Hearing Accessibility

All people with speaking parts in worship use microphones and we amplify voices in the worship space, including in a side room for nursing mothers or those who need a quiet space.

We offer hearing assistance devices. Some people leave their own blue tooth microphones at the lectern in order to hear speakers directly in their hearing aids. Ask an usher or pastor for assistance.

Seeing Accessibility

Service animals are welcome.

Please let us know if there are other ways we can accomodate you or your loved ones' needs in order fully to participate in worship and fellowship.

Allergies & Preferences

We offer gluten-free and alcohol-free options during communion.

We try to minimize perfumes in our space and do not use incense.
