At the crossroads...
we hear images of the end that are a stark contrast between glorious hope and terrifying destruction. Which do we believe? What are the signs in our time? Does Jesus offer reality and hope for us and our testifying? Welcome God's hope. Welcome all!
Sunday Worship with Holy Communion at 10:00 am
Everyone is welcome here!

Stewardship Pledge Week 3 -
Devoted to Generousity
You always have the poor with you,
but you do not always have me. John 12:8
We praise God for the generous and faithful financial support contributed by people of the congregation.
Currently 120 members of the congregation make continuing contributions to the church through a variety of methods:
- 63 through weekly envelops
- 23 through monthly envelops
- 34 through monthly direct deposit via EFT Canada
In the past few months we have transitioned from our long time direct deposit agency Faithlife Financial to EFT Canada. Faithlife provided us great service, however they made a business decision to stop offering this service. After careful research and a recommendation from Faithlife, Electronic Funds Transfer Canada (EFT Canada) was selected to provide us with similar service at a slightly higher monthly fee. They are also providing clients with more flexibility in timing of monthly withdrawals. If YOU have any interest in switching to direct deposit please let me know.
Every year we have a few members of the congregation who donate stock shares/certificates to the church. Although we cannot process these gifts ourselves, The Victoria Foundation will receive these gifts, identified for Church of the Cross, carry out the process of converting the shares/certificates into cash and then forward your offering to the church while providing you with a tax receipt. They can be contacted at: victoriafoundation.bc.ca 250-381-5532
If anyone has any questions or wants to make any changes to how they are presently supporting the church please let me know. Barry Walker, 250-381-1698, cell 250-818-7931. Leave me a note in my mailbox at church #92 or pass a message through Deb in the church office.
Thank You for generous support of the church.
Barry Walker, Financial Secretary

The meeting will be held at UVic’s Interfaith Chapel. The nearest parking (which is free on Sundays) is in Lot 6, near the entrance to Finnerty Gardens. Please arrive at 1:45 pm. Membership in VMS is $10 for those who wish to support multifaith activities. The AGM is open to all and free of charge.
