Video Alert
On July 8th, a video series called Acts of Creation was posted to our Lutheran Church of the Cross YouTube page, with the link here in the Crossroads. For July 15, I’ll tell you more about the idea for these videos which will be posted weekly on Thursday during the summer. Tune to see and hear from others talking about their acts for creation.
Check out the video here.
What do you do?
On behalf of the Greening Committee, I invite you to share your passions/tips/advice. Email those tips, stories, and ideas to susandb@telus.net as we prepare for the Time of Creation Season in the fall.
In Peace,
Susan Beiderwieden

Chaz Avery Online Drag “Love is Love” (Pride 2021)
We are privileged that local performer Chaz Avery recorded “Love is Love” at Church of the Cross, who has been joining us for worship for much of the pandemic, and helping us imagine ways to make ministry more queer affirming.

One way we support LGBTQIA2S+ neighbours is by sharing space. Consider sharing this YouTube video on your own social media pages. It’s an easy way to share the message about God’s expansive love.

For Brian
As many will know, our congregation’s Cantor, Brian Wismath and partner Emily, will be moving to Ontario later in the summer. We are making plans to say farewell. Part of a gift to Brian is gathering cards and messages for a scrapbook that Lennor Stieda is putting together with others. Please email your card or message to lennorstieda@gmail.com or drop them off at the church office. Receiving them in early July would be appreciated. We are also gathering funds for a gift for Brian which can also be dropped off or mailed to the church office. Brian’s last Sunday with us is August 22. More information about a planned farewell will be shared soon.
