Church Council continues to work to see that in-person worship is safer for everyone. We will adjust our plans as health orders change. 
 
Being vaccinated against COVID-19 is the best protection for the health of yourself and others. We strongly encourage everyone who is eligible to be fully vaccinated.
 
We will continue to livestream worship each Sunday.  
 

• If you are not feeling well and experiencing any Covid-19 related symptoms or if you are not vaccinated, please stay home and participate in worship online.  
• You are encouraged but not required to wear a mask when entering the building and throughout worship.
• Observe social distancing.
• Sanitize or wash hands as needed.
• You are welcome to sing and you are encouraged to wear a mask.
• We will greet one another and share the peace at a distance.
• Holy Communion will be served with bread and individual glasses of wine that are spaced in the trays. You may commune with bread or wine alone if you wish.
• It is not required that people register for worship ahead of time or sign in as you arrive.

We're Having a Great Time at the 2022 Amazing Journey Day Camp

We're having a great time at the Amazing Journey Day Camp at St. George's this year. The theme the first day was “God is with us and finds a way to safety.” Campers heard about Moses parting the Red Sea and explored a craft about the parting of the Red Sea. They're also making Moses' walking sticks. They played soccer and sang lots of songs.

On Tuesday, we heard the story about God's gift of manna, how God feeds us even when we're walking through the wilderness. Campers played games, made bannock over a fire, worked on their walking sticks, and sang songs. 

Wednesday we heard about the gift of water as Moses strikes the rock at Horeb. Reflecting on the ways in which water continues to be a previous gift from God, which we need to sustain with God’s creation. 

Thanks to all the youth helping as small group leaders, leaders in training, and in the kitchen. Thanks also to the adult volunteers.

Dialogue #6 – Rethinking Heritage in the Context of Reconciliation

Victoria has an award-winning heritage conservation program that has retained many of the early settler buildings in the city. At the same time as these buildings were built, Lekwungen heritage was systematically dismantled and erased. This Dialogue will feature members of the Songhees Nation and City staff who have worked together on the Government Street Refresh project and will explore how to retain and celebrate the city’s colonial-built heritage at the same time as recognizing, honouring and making visible once again Lekwungen culture and land practices. Register now.
