Luther Court Society Community Health Centre Open House
Community Health Centre’s Open House was this past Wednesday. Some of us had an opportunity to tour the beautiful new clinic, meet the team, and learn about their first year of providing care and about what’s next for the Community Health Centre. While Luther Court already had a community role caring for elders, the circle continues to widen with the Community Health Centre now serving patients in the Gordon Head, Shelbourne, and Oak Bay communities.

Additional Bike Rack
Many thanks to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen for letting us install their spare bike rack (a donation from Van City) next to the existing bike rack at church. Thank you to Erik Beiderwieden for installing the bike rack. We have a growing community of cyclists including people from the church, Kitchen, Luther Court including their Community Health Centre. With the increasing popularity of e-bikes, the demand for bike storage has increased. The bike rack is located behind the church and accessible via the adjacent driveway in order to avoid stairs.
Cycling is one way we can give back treading lightly on creation, recognizing it is not accessible for everyone. Although e-bikes are levelling the playing field by reducing strain and increasing range.
Bike security tips include using a good U-lock or similar bike lock, locking quick-release wheels (quick-release skewers can be replaced with more secure options), not leaving valuables or easily removable accessories on bikes, and avoiding leaving bikes locked on the bike rack overnight.

In-Person Worship, Sunday, April 16, 10 AM PST
Covid-19 and Worship
- We offer worship in both live (in-person) and livestream (online) formats.
- We rejoice in the gift of vaccination and encourage everyone to be / stay vaccinated & boosted if you are eligible.
- We support those who choose to wear a mask and those who choose not to wear a mask. For our church at this time, wearing a mask is optional and a matter of personal choice in all our activities, including worship, fellowship time, meetings and office hours. This personal choice includes all those involved in leading our services, including presiding ministers, worship assistants, musicians, choir members and ushers. Please see a member of the Council if you have any questions or thoughts on the matter.
- If you test positive, or have symptoms for Covid-19, please stay home (and worship via live-stream)!
